Moving From Buddy to Boss...
Buddy 2 Boss: The professional courses are built around a core of job specific knowledge and skills subject matter. The courses are divided into four major areas with three subjects to be covered in each area.
The core competencies listed to the right are presented in light of the personal characteristics surrounding the core knowledge and skills. The personal characteristics are taught within the subject matter of each of the four major competencies divisions.
It is suggested that the complete course of materials be presented over a period of three to six months with two to four days of training each month for a total of 12 training days. Each participant will be provided a copy of complete training materials in written and bound form covering the topic presented. The coursework will emphasize practical leadership, management, and supervisory skills and behaviors.

Setting Goals:Through interactive learning, participants are exposed to Work-life Balance skills to better manage both projects and relationships. The outcomes for the individual are more control, value and balance in the professional and personal lives.

Problem Solving:Participants will learn the basics in identifying and solving problems. By using these techniques, participants can start to tackle problems which might otherwise seem huge, overwhelming and excessively complex.
Ethics and Values:The best leaders exhibit both values and ethics in their leadership style and actions. The ethics and values of a leader become evident by the behaviors (habits) they exhibit. Understanding what a leader is portraying will enable them to develop and expand credibility and effectiveness.
Conflict Resolution:Conflict is a common event in business settings. There is good conflict and there is bad. Which way it is seen is determined by the way it is faced. Good Conflict Resolution builds stronger and more cohesive organizations and more rewarding relationships. Effective Conflict Resolution is teachable.
Corrective Counseling:Participants will learn how to facilitate their employees' improvement, instead of merely disciplining them. The course covers when and how to apply corrective action, and provides strategies for motivating employees to improve.
